Though the Alumnae of
the college have always kept contact with their alma mater, the
Alumnae Association was formally established in 2002 and registered in
2004. The Association organizes a Reunion before the Pujas and
participate in Anandamela, Annual Fete.
The interaction between the eminent Alumnae of the college and the
present student particularly generate many emotional and
motivational moment.
The college may take pride in its outstanding and distinguish
Alumnae. Among them are late Dr. Minoti Das and Dr. Manjushree Sinha
of Bengali Department, both later teachers of the college. Their have
been several other students graduating from this college, who taught
and have been teaching in other colleges and University Departments.
Many of other Alumnae have shone in other field - in Music,
Literature and Performing Arts. Among them are:
Smt. Sumitra Sen, and Smt. Purba Dam both noted Rabindra Sangeet
singers, Smt. Purabi Dutta, well known Najrul Geeti singer, and Smt.
Kana Basu Mishra, a popular novelist and short story writer. |
